Update on T&T’s NDC

An article in the Trinidad Guardian on June 17th, 2021 gave an update on T&T’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) by the Environmental Policy and Planning Division of the Ministry of Planning and Development. Under the Paris Agreement, T&T has committed to achieve a 15% reduction in cumulative emissions from its three main carbon-emitting sectors viz. power generation, transport and industry. Already 40 carbon-reducing initiatives have been launched including solar and other renewable energy projects, waste management and forest conservation.
