This event is also known as International Mother Earth Day and has been celebrated every year on April 22nd for the past 52 years. It aims to promote awareness about the growing concerns of increased population, loss of biodiversity and changes in our environments. This year’s theme is about investing in our planet which relies on governments, businesses, and citizens to invest in a better future. To invest in a better future, we have to invest our personal time, invest in our resources and community in promoting a green economy as well as protect the species living in our planet.
